How do I actually get paid?
Two payments, kept separate. The hotel still pays you whatever you agreed for the stay and the content. Visby pays you 1% of what guests book through Visby at hotels we approve as yours, monthly, by bank transfer. The hotel does not pay that 1%, and guests do not pay more. In the example on this page, that comes to $36,180 a year once 20 hotels are live ($3,015 a month, or $150.75 from one hotel). Hypothetical, not a forecast. A single booking works like this:
- A $1,000 room booking paid through Visby$10
- A $200 spa treatment$2
- A $150 airport transfer$1.50
How does the program work?
Apply to become a Creator Partner. Once you’re approved, you introduce hotels to Visby with your personal link or from your creator dashboard. We run the demo, set the hotel up and support its team. When we approve a hotel as your referral, you earn 1% of its qualifying transactions under the program terms.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying is free.
Do I need a minimum number of followers?
No. The quality of your content and your relationships with hotels matter more to us than follower counts.
What does Visby offer hotels?
A guest app in the hotel’s own brand. Guests use it to discover and book rooms, spa and wellness, dining, airport transfers, tours, activities and local experiences, which gives the hotel new ways to earn from its guests. Visby sets it up and supports the hotel’s team.
Do I need to sell software?
No. You make the introduction. Visby runs the demos, setup and support.
What purchases qualify for commissions?
Purchases guests make and pay for through Visby at a hotel you referred: room bookings, dining, spa, transport, tours, activities and other services, at hotels on Visby’s commission-based pricing. Purchases made outside Visby, refunds and chargebacks don’t count. The full definitions are in the program terms.
How does the 1% work?
You earn 1% of the qualifying transaction value. It’s paid from Visby’s earnings, so the hotel doesn’t pay extra and guests don’t pay more. For example:
- A $1,000 room booking paid through Visby$10
- A $200 spa treatment$2
- A $150 airport transfer$1.50
- A $250 tour$2.50
What does “lifetime” mean?
You earn for as long as the referred hotel stays active on Visby and you keep to the program terms. There’s no 12- or 24-month cut-off.
What promotional commitments are required?
For each hotel you refer, publish at least one piece of content that features or mentions both that hotel and Visby every 24 months: a post, Reel, TikTok, video or article. One piece covers both. You don’t need to go back to the hotel to make it. Always clearly disclose your partnership with Visby.
What if I stop participating?
You keep your commissions on hotels already approved as your referrals, as long as you keep meeting the program terms for them.
How are commissions tracked?
Visby reviews and approves every referral. Once a hotel is approved as yours, we track the qualifying transactions at that hotel, and your creator dashboard shows them alongside where each hotel stands.
When do I get paid?
Monthly, by bank transfer through Wise where available. You add your tax details and bank account once in your creator dashboard, which also shows the payout timing and any minimum.
Can I still do paid collaborations with hotels?
Yes. Visby is extra to your normal collaborations, not a replacement for them.
Does Visby offer paid creator opportunities?
Yes. When Visby has a paid campaign or collaboration, we post it in your creator dashboard and email you, unless you’ve turned those emails off. Tell us you’re interested and we’ll be in touch if it’s a fit. We choose who we work with on each one, so they aren’t guaranteed.
